Dear All,

Please note the change in the Regulations for all cargo entering the Saudi
Arabian ports (Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddah). The Customs stated that for all
import shipments the country of origin should be embossed / engraved on all
packages and documents stickers or any other removable things are not
allowed.

沙特海关最新通知， 货物外包装上必须印有原产国，任何其他形式，例如黏贴式等。

When the material is arriving before 01/03/2009 and the cargo is not as per
the customs requirement the consignee must give a guaranty and the country
of origin has to be written on the material in the customs area. If the
material arrives after 01/03/2009 and it's not as per the customs
restrictions the customs will impose a penalty per shipment and the shipment
will be cleared under guaranty, if this happens for the 2nd time the customs
will not clear the shipment and the consignee have to re-export the cargo.

此项通知从2009年3月1日起执行， 违反者第一次需缴纳罚金，并在担保情况下允许清
关；第二次违反，将不予清关， 同时安排退运。

The shipper is liable for all charges and expenses resulting from or in
connection with the failure to take delivery of the shipment, including, but
not limited to, storage charges and carriage charges incurred in returning
the shipment to airport of origin.

发货人违反此通知，将承担由此引起的一切相关费用，包括仓储， 地面等所有费用。

Note: Duty exempted cargo will not be exempted if country of origin is not
as per customs requirement.

免税品需同样遵守此规定，并且在第一次违反时， 需照章征税。
